Duty-of-Care Stopwatch
Delay and outage thresholds trigger statutory care, before customers have to ask.
The job
Tracks, for each disruption, the elapsed-time points at which the rules say care or compensation is owed, delivers that care before customers ask, and shows finance what on-time care saved in liability and later claims.
The moment
On the operations control centre's wall, each disrupted flight is shown as a stopwatch, with rings at the points where the rules say care is owed.
Flight 1234's dial crosses the 3-hour ring, circled by 17 red dots: customer posts saying there is no food and no information at gate 12.
The duty manager approves meal vouchers from the app's care panel.
Over the next 40 minutes the red dots fade to grey one by one, no new ones appear, and the ring goes quiet.
What it does
- Send meal or hotel vouchers to affected passengers
- Alert the gate or station agent
- Issue an outage credit batch (utilities, telecom)
- Send a passenger-rights message
- Log the event verdict
What you see
A stopwatch per disruption with threshold rings and an orbiting crowd of customer posts that fades when care lands, on an IOCC wall with a companion care drawer
What it moves
The share of legally required care delivered before the first customer complains about it, and the monthly savings in US dollars from meeting care obligations on time and avoiding later claims.
