Starting Eleven
Pick eleven fixes before kickoff; the morning after, each gets a player rating.
The job
Turns each match's failures into a line-up of owned fixes, each with a prediction for the next match recorded in advance. Rates every fix by its checked effect the morning after, and builds a season-long record that doubles as evidence for vendor SLAs.
The moment
Before each match, the team picks eleven fixes, laid out like a football team sheet. The morning after, each fix gets a player rating based on its measured effect.
A voice note opens like a post-match show: switching to a backup content delivery network is man of the match, rated 9.1, with about 2,300 contacts saved.
The TV app hotfix scores 4.0, because error 1003 was back by minute 12. Every figure traces to a rating card that shows how the saving was worked out, with a range.
The director forwards the note to the CEO unedited. The hotfix is benched for Friday's match, and the season table puts the app vendor bottom of the league ahead of its quarterly review.
