On Tuesday, a new line appears on the poster for the fake agency call: since Monday, callers say the account will be suspended in two hours. Three victims' own words sit beside it.
The counter-script reaches agents before lunch, and the approved warning goes out that afternoon.
By Friday the poster is stamped "Contained": victim reports are down 64%, and an estimated $410,000 in reported losses was avoided.
