The job
Checks every product in a regulatory sandbox or government pilot against consumer limits set before it launched, acts in the week a limit is breached, and decides whether to graduate, extend or end it on evidence the public can see.
The moment
A regulator tests new products in pilots, each held to consumer limits set before launch. On graduation day, the robo-taxi pilot passes: customer talk about safety stayed within its limit for 26 weeks straight.
A buy now, pay later product is held back. Complaints about being "charged after cancelling" crossed its limit in week 6, and the regulator's letter went out that afternoon.
Three weeks later the complaints were back within range. The file recommends extending the pilot by one term rather than ending it, with the 212 posts behind the breach one tap away.
The next morning, both report cards are live on the regulator's public portal.
