Lights-On Roll Call
When the network says restored, ask the people who called, and find the street still dark.
The job
When the outage system says power is back, asks the customers who reported the outage to confirm it, group by group. Hidden faults the network can't see, like a blown service fuse, get fixed before households call back, especially vulnerable ones in summer heat.
The moment
At 21:40 the control room restores power and the duty manager starts a check. Customers who reported the outage are asked if their power is back, shown as rows of dots.
By 21:52, 214 have said yes. One group of 14 customers on a single street is all red, every answer no, including a customer on the medical priority register.
Three no answers had already flagged a hidden fault, so the dispatcher sent the nearest crew with one click. At 22:25 the crew finds a blown service fuse, before anyone has to call back.
A second check at 22:40 turns that street green. The wall reads "Closed by 228 residents".
What it does
- Start roll call (Sweep)
- Raise nested-outage work order
- Page on-call
- Run second roll call
- Close district
- Draft compensation eligibility
What you see
A roll-call board of lanes of dots filling green or red, with the priority register pinned on top, plus a control-room wall map that starts grey and fills in red and green
What it moves
Minutes from declared restoration to residents confirming it for each group, hidden outages found before the first repeat call, breaches of guaranteed service standards prevented, and payments owed that were made before anyone claimed.
