Curator's Guestbook
Every gallery gets a guestbook in nine languages, and the curator writes back.
The job
Gives curators visitor feedback on each exhibit, covering labels, lighting, crowding, translations and audio guides, in a form they will read. Checks each change they make and replies to the visitors who asked, in their own language.
The moment
Each gallery's visitor feedback is shown as a handwritten guestbook. The curator opens the page for the ancient gallery.
312 entries in nine languages say it is "too dark to read the labels".
In the margin, the curator notes the change: new lighting and Mandarin labels by 3 October.
A month later the page turns. The new Mandarin entry at the top reads "finally I could read everything", and an approved reply goes to 40 reviewers in their own languages.
