Tag vs Till
Till beats tag: shopper refunded, label fixed, inspection risk counted down.
The job
Turns each complaint about a shelf price that doesn't match the till, a missed promotion or a wrong label into a refund, a label fix in that branch and one fewer likely inspection finding, backed by evidence an inspector would accept.
The moment
A shopper photographs a shelf tag showing $12.95 and a receipt line charging $15.50.
Ninety seconds later, after one approval tap, $2.55 is back on the shopper's loyalty card. The branch gets a task to fix the electronic shelf label, and the count of likely inspection findings drops from 17 to 16, pending a check.
The compliance lead then runs a mock inspection for tomorrow at the worst branch.
It flags aisle 7: 2-litre yoghurt at $6.50 on the shelf and $7.25 at the till, with 9 shoppers affected, last seen yesterday.
What it does
- Refund the difference
- Fix the label in that branch
- Send tomorrow's inspection walk to the store manager
- Generate the pre-inspection evidence pack
- Log and verify a price fault
What you see
An integrity desk: SKU x branch grid with a findings meter, a regulator-threat lane, a mock-inspection walk and an evidence pack
What it moves
Likely inspection findings still open at each branch, weighted by exposure, dollars refunded the same day, and price faults confirmed fixed each week.
