Medicine Hunt Desk
Patients find the stock-out first; the pharmacy moves the stock and tells them.
The job
Spots when a product is out of stock at a branch from what patients say, days before sales data shows it. Fires a stock transfer, tells every patient who asked when it arrives, and proves the hunt ended, priced in lost sales.
The moment
On a race board, each lane is one medicine at one branch. The lane for a children's antibiotic shows patients raised the shortage on day 0, while sales data only showed it on day 6.
One mother's message is on the card: "I went to five pharmacies in two days".
The stock transfer fires at 09:10. At 15:30 the 38 people on the waiting list get a WhatsApp, and by evening 29 have replied that they collected it.
The lane's lost-sales figure stops climbing at $11,400, and the red arrow on the map, showing patients going elsewhere, fades.
What it does
- Request stock transfer
- Add patient to waiting list
- Notify waiting patients 'it's here'
- Log 'collected'
- Send lost-sales ledger
- Open quotes
What you see
Race board of product x branch lanes with days-ahead clocks, a branch tile map of 'went elsewhere' arrows, and a dollar ledger that leaves as a PDF link
What it moves
How many days ahead of sales data each shortage is spotted, and dollars of lost sales recovered each week (patients who collected times the basket value).
