The job
Stops "salary not received" complaints at their source, the employer. Finds tonight's rejected, late or partial payroll files, ranks them by staff affected and past complaints, and gets each one fixed before midnight.
The moment
At 16:00 on the 26th, the day before payday, a weather map shows three storm cells. Each is an employer whose payroll file bounced because of the same bank account number format error.
One of the three is a hospital with 2,100 nurses.
By 20:00 all three have cleared to sunshine on the wall.
